Best Practice in Europe

The Employment Compact in the region of Göttingen - "Experience you can count on!" tried to optimise the practice in the region by looking at good practice for the integration of older people in the labour market in other European countries. Zoom e.V. conducted a study to identify such good practice. The study regarded both the integration of older unemployed people as well as company strategies to incorporate the interests of elderly.

In various European countries this topic was on the agenda in order to achieve the goals of the Lisbon Strategy of the European union. This strategy did set an employment quota for the older active population of 50 per cent.

On the basis of the results of the "best practice" study, the European Office of the Employment Promotion Agency Göttingen (kAöR) organised an exchange of regional actors to get to know outstanding practice in other countries.
